Best Patios for Outdoor Dining in Decatur, Georgia

As I write this we are in the dog days of summer here in Atlanta, Georgia, but that doesn’t mean I still won’t find a patio to sit on for a happy hour or Sunday brunch! Here in my little town of Decatur, GA, there’s an unbelievable amount of amazing restaurants to choose from, but if it’s a patio you need, I’ve got you covered!

Here are my top 5 outdoor dining recommendations in Decatur, GA:

Leon’s - Leon’s is pretty much at the top of all Decatur dining lists, but its patio is really the best. They have heaters for our mild winters, shade, and the best french fries in town. Check out their full menu here.

Sun in my Belly - if it’s brunch you need, Sun in my Belly has a great covered patio, amazing food, and a laid-back vibe that’s perfect for relaxing with your friends or family. They also cater events in Atlanta. I had a baby shower here for my son here many moons ago!

246 - ask for a seat out back and you’ll find an adorable covered patio, a tree-covered courtyard, and 2 ping pong tables. Not to mention the Italian menu and wine list here are outstanding. (unrelated but we LOVE doing their chef’s table). Recommend a reservation.

Wahoo - this patio is so gorgeous, some folks have had their weddings here. Wahoo does brunch and dinner. The menu is seafood focused, but there’s really something for everyone.

Scout - right in the middle of Oakhurst, Scout manages to have a really warm, neighborhoody vibe. Their patio has string lights and sometimes you’ll hear live music from the lawn below. Great for a gals dinner or date night!

Victory (bonus!) - I know I said 5 patios, but I had to add in Victory. If you’re looking for a cool patio to meet a friend for lunch or a casual dinner, this is your spot. It’s right in the heart of downtown Decatur, is covered and has fans (which are KEY here in the south). They make creative sandwiches and yummy sides. Make sure you try their whiskey coke slushie!

Did I skip one of your favorites? I’d love to hear about it!
